Who we are

Backwoodsman is a specialist supplier of wood burning and multi-fuel stoves. We are situated on the edge of Barcaldine Forest some 12 miles north of Oban in the West Highlands. The business is family run with over 40 years dedicated to providing the highest quality service possible in our area.

Comprehensive advice is freely available to local customers and covers everything from heat loss calculations to water heating and chimney design. Our recommendations are (wherever possible) based on a thorough on-site appraisal, usually carried out at our expense and without obligation. Our aim is to ensure that you end up with a safe, efficient installation.

A significant part of our time is also devoted to working on ‘new-build’ and renovation projects with architects and developers.

Please note that we only operate within Argyll, Lochaber & the Inner and Outer Hebrides and are unable to offer our services further afield.
